Historic Sites Tour
of Cleveland's
National Air Races
Originally designed for the
Society of
Air Racing Historians' annual
International Symposium of Air Racing History
this one-of-a-kind tour is now available for groups of all sizes!
You supply the transportation and we supply the guide that will lead your group on a three-hour excursion to the sites of one of the largest spectator events ever staged -- the National Air Races.
"I very much enjoyed your [tour].
The tour showed a great deal of planning and your
commentary showed you had done a lot of valuable research." 2006 Tour Participant
How it Works:
We provide detailed directions to your driver so groups can use vans, shuttles and jitneys they currently operate.
Our guide will ride along with your group narrating the history, the personalities and the events that made the National Air Races the most important gatherings of aviation's "Golden Age." Groups without suitable vehicles can charter coaches or vans. Either way all the trip planning has been done for you and your driver will follow a pre-planned, fully described route.
Where:
Tours will depart from your locations and at your convenience. Our guide will come to you, board your vehicle and navigate your driver to the starting point near Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. The tour concludes at Cleveland's Burke Lakefront Airport before returning to its origin.
