Programs
BEPA provides a forum for education and for networking opportunities among its business and industry members, non-profits, vendors and government agencies. Nearly 200 organizations concerned with business continuity
participate in the activities that include the business continuity planning conference as well as roundtable discussions and monthly workshops, lectures and seminars that cover topics ranging from plan development to site recovery and restoration, critical stress debriefing and media relations.
Free pandemic flu preparedness seminar Feb. 18 or 26
A grant from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration is funding
the Red Cross in educating both instructors and the small businesses they
will train about preparing for a pandemic flu event to help aid business
sustainability. This special program is being piloted in 18 cities
nationwide.
Health and safety instructors will attend a workshop on Feb. 18 and business
owners/managers will attend on Feb. 26.
Business owners will learn about free resources available should you choose
to participate in this special pilot. Participating businesses will
additionally receive a free DVD, Leader’s Guide, PowerPoint presentation and
CD-ROM with leader and participant resources.
Other Red Cross products and courses will additionally be highlighted.

Business Continuity 101: Start Writing

Friday the 13^th doesn’t need to be a frightening day—just as a disaster,
emergency or other unplanned interruption doesn’t need to be frightening for
your organization. Get started on Friday, March 13. Spend the morning
starting to write your business continuity plan. Our experts will guide you
along the way and when you leave the seminar you’ll have something to show
and resources with which you can follow up.

continuity and emergency planning. A certified disaster recovery planner,
Bob previously served as a senior consultant at Grant Thornton LLP.
